How did strawberry get its name?

When you are ready to use them, wash them with the caps attached, under cool running water. The caps protect the strawberries from absorbing excessive water and turning soggy.
After washing, you
can remove the caps by slightly twisting them or cut with a fruit knife.

This was the result of the study done on rats who were fed with strawberry extract in their diets.
The rats were then tested for their memory and learning abilities over their life spans which were about 2 1/2 years.
It was found they could retain both abilities over longer time than those rats on normal diets.
While this research is still in its infancy, the findings, so far, suggest that the phytonutrients play an important role in preventing the long-term effects of oxidative stress on brain functions such as remembering, balance and coordination.
