Way back in 2002, I was in quite a bad shape. I felt tired easily, unable to focus on what I was doing, prone to migraine, flu and indigestion frequently which often resulted in taking medical leave off my job.
I thought there must be something seriously wrong with me and going to the doctor didn't help because her advice was always: "Relax and exercise more".
I was 12 lbs overweight then!
I never thought there's anything wrong with my diet. Although I loved meat and seafood, I tried to choose the healthier cooking methods. So I looked to weight loss programs consisting of meal replacements, pills and exercise equipments.
These never worked.
Then I met my friend, Soon Chai, who is a vegan. He looks so radiant and full of energy that honestly I was so envious !
He said I looked bad, awfully bad

He's even more worried after I told him what I had tried. So he encouraged me to try vegetarian food instead.
At first I thought I had to take salads and tofu for every meal, I couldn't imagine that... but I was wrong!
On an occasion, he brought me to a vegetarian food fair that for the first time I was being exposed to soooo many appetizing and finger-licking vegetarian dishes.
That really blew me out of water!
At the same time, I purchased a few excellent vegetarian cookbooks full of interesting and yet simple vegetarian recipes to start with.
Soon, I realised I'm cooking mouth-watering vegetarian meals which even meat-eaters enjoy eating.
